Amid modern residential development, this home distinguished itself from its neighbors. The home’s history, location and distinctive craftsmanship made it a gem worth preserving.
The new owner loved the quaint, historic aesthetic, especially from the front yard and street, and wanted to maintain that charm while expanding the home’s functionality. We designed an addition that included a three-stall garage, a spacious bonus room, and a new master suite—carefully positioned so the original facade remained true to its roots.
Inside, we had the opportunity to blend modern living with an eclectic, antique style. A standout feature is the custom kitchen peninsula, crafted from a reclaimed antique store counter. Recycled beams and barn doors repurposed from another local barn add warmth, history, and a personal touch throughout the space.
This project was a rewarding blend of preservation and innovation—honoring the home’s past while creating new, vibrant spaces for its future.
